Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 July 2026

1. About us

This website is operated by HGC Technologies UK Ltd ("HGC", "we", "us"), company number 12489201, VAT number GB368450474, registered at Unit 33, Moor Park Industrial Centre, Tolpits Lane, Watford, WD18 9SP. Contact: info@hgctechnologies.uk, 020 8090 9037.

These terms apply to purchases made through this website. "Consumer" means an individual buying wholly or mainly outside their trade or business. "Trade customer" means a business buying under our reseller/wholesale programme — additional trade terms in section 10 apply.

2. How ordering works

Adding items to your basket and sending an order by email or WhatsApp is an offer to buy, not a completed purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm availability and price in writing and payment has been received. We may decline or correct an order before that point — for example if an item has sold out or a price was displayed in error. If we cannot fulfil an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full without delay.

3. Prices and payment

4. Delivery

We deliver across the UK using a tracked courier service. Orders confirmed and paid on a working day are normally dispatched within 1–2 working days; we will confirm the expected delivery date with your order confirmation. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes when payment is received in full. If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please note it with the courier and contact us within 48 hours.

5. Refurbished products and grading

All laptops are professionally refurbished: data-wiped, tested, updated, and cleaned in the UK. They are used devices, and cosmetic condition is described by grade:

GradeCondition
AExcellent condition. Minimal signs of use; no marks visible at normal viewing distance.
A/BVery good condition. Light cosmetic marks on the lid or base; screen and keyboard fully clean.
BGood condition. Visible scratches or scuffs consistent with office use. Fully functional.

6. Warranty

Consumer purchases include a 12-month warranty against hardware faults. Full details, and what it does not cover, are in our Returns & Warranty policy. The warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.

7. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose) and a 14-day right to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. These are explained in our Returns & Warranty policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

8. Marketing messages

We only send Flash Deals and other marketing by email or WhatsApp if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or contacting us. See our Privacy Notice.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not responsible for loss of data — please ensure your data is backed up before sending any device to us. To consumers, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. To trade customers, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned, and we exclude liability for loss of profit, business or indirect losses.

10. Trade customers

11. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts). If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; the version published at the time of your order applies to it.
